During my biology studies in the 1990s, I lived in a room in a beautifully situated detached house belonging to Aunt Betsy, a friend of my wife’s family. This view from the living room looks to the neighbor’s house and a currant bush with golden-yellow leaves aglow in the autumn sun. Aunt Betsy still lives in her home. She is 96 years old and from the big chair in front of the window she continues to enjoy the view of the currant, beautiful in every season.
