The inspiration for this piece came from a series of photos I took at our local Fall Fair. One of the events featured four teams in the Pony Pull competition. I was particularly intrigued when a pair of Norwegian Fjords entered the ring. You don’t often see this beautiful breed of draft pony, it was a rare sight. I felt very fortunate to be in their presence. The rimmed lighting and playful use of color throughout this piece seek to illuminate their unique, distinguishing features.
