Occasionally I’ve been commissioned to paint a specific work, usually a family pet. This painting was rather different. An elderly client asked me to paint a pair of Eastern Rosellas as such a pair frequented her country garden. While I enjoyed producing the work, I was concerned that my client would be unappreciative of the Sparrow I couldn’t resist including. I needn’t have worried. The kindly client said she was “over the moon” with her painting. I couldn’t have wished for a better result.
