I wanted to show these two powerful and agile opponents entangled in a moment. They are briefly distracted but both firmly in control. In this fight between good and evil, as some lore may claim, they are worthy adversaries.

My stylized work lends itself nicely to the designs on the body and feathers of the roadrunner, giving it an elegant and authoritative presence. The snake’s body wraps gracefully around the bird’s leg, providing the tangle and support for the sculpture.
