This bird is called a Red Crested Cardinal and is not actually related to true Cardinals. I saw him at a fountain at the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, UT. I loved the pop of bright orange/red on his head compared to the grays of the surrounding fountain. I also liked the fact that his feathers were still wet from bathing and he looks a little bedraggled.
