There are 27 species of Bee-eaters in the world. All are colorful and dream birds for the birdwatcher. In 2018, I made a safari trip to Kenya. In the Maasai Mara park, the Little Bee-eater was rather common. They often hunted for insects close to the big mammals. As I studied two Little Bee-eaters, a big Giraffe walked nearby and gave me my ideas for this painting.
